Jack Attack unveiled at pro-am

Jack Attack will be previewed during the live coverage of Australian Premier League

Jack Attack unveiled at pro-amJack Attack will be rolled out live in front of the nation during the eagerly anticipated second instalment of the Australian Premier League at Brisbane’s Club Pine Rivers next month.

The sport’s new national participation product will be unveiled to attending spectators and broadcast live on Fox Sports and SkyTV NZ on the final day of the $110,000 APL02 tournament, with a pro-am demonstration featuring a yet-to-be revealed Jack Attack ambassador, who boasts national sporting appeal, and two of the sport’s biggest stars, Commonwealth Games gold medallist Kelvin Kerkow and former world number one Mark Casey.

The professional and amateur demonstration will feature two teams of three players participating in a shortened version of the Jack Attack format, ahead of the first APL02 semi-final encounter on Friday, November 21 from 5.00pm AEST.

“Look out for Jack Attack,” Australian Premier League ambassador Mick Molloy declared on Network Ten’s The Project.

“Jack Attack – it’s at your local club and it’s the same form of the game they’re playing up at Club Pine Rivers, which is ground zero for the greatest sporting encounter I’ve ever seen.

“This is like the 20/20 version of the game, there’s room for everything.

“Still my favourite thing is going to a bowling club, which is like an outdoor cathedral; a great little green oasis in a desolate urban expanse, with 1972 prices.”

Molloy will again bring his intricate knowledge and sense of humour on the sport to the Australian Premier League’s Fox Sports’ broadcast commentary during the final two days of APL02, and could be considered short odds to bring back Jack Simpson’s infamous flipper during the Jack Attack pro-am spectacle.

Stay tuned for the announcement on the Jack Attack ambassador in the coming days.
